APAP Carries out Baseline survey

APAP carried out a baseline survey in all operational areas aimed at among others to gather baseline information that enables APAP to redefine its intervention strategies and approaches as well as periodically and upon termination of the implementation period measure the progress towards the achievement of the desired goals and objectives of the organization between March 4 and May 31, 2010.

The basedline survey addressed federal and regional governmental offices, non governmental organizations such as CSOs, CBOs, professional associations and finally governmental and non governmental academic institutions that are deemed to have direct impact in the facilitation of the development of community based organization as well as the provision of basic socio economic services such as health, food, education and housing to the community.

A report on the findings of the baseline survey was also prepared and it is believed that the information collected by the baseline survey would be highly instrumental in the identification, implementation and appraisal of APAP's interventions under the new strategic plan period.

Moreover, the baseline survey is believed to have laid the necessary foundation for implementation of the new direction of APAP by informing past and potential partners and collaborators that it would continue to try to make a difference in the lives of the poor and marginalized albeit using another strategy and approach.
